Good Morning!

I’m going to start off by saying this topic will ruffle some feathers. But know this… I say it out of love, and if it applies to you, it is to help you become a better version of yourself.

Others may lie to you or simply tell you only what they know you want to hear… Not me. I’ll tell you how it is. From there, it’s up to you to do what you want, if anything, with the information.

This will not apply to all of you, but according to statistics, this message will apply to about 75%. If you’re in that 75% category, try to maintain the emotional resilience to read this email in its entirety… Then immediately start doing the work that only you can do, to fix it.

PLEASE NOTE: If you’re overweight because of diagnosed medical reasons, this message doesn’t apply.

So here we go…

Being fat is disrespectful to yourself, unattractive to your spouse, and unfair to your family, friends, and employees.

If you have fat you’ve been “trying” or “wanting” to lose, why is that? When you look in the mirror, what does your inner voice really say about the reflection? When it’s time for family photos, how much do you dread having them taken out of disgust by the way you look in the photo?

And what about your spouse? If they were given truth serum and could only tell the truth, would they say they prefer you stay just as you are or that they would prefer you be lean and fit? You know the answer…

And speaking of your spouse, if you’re looking at yourself and thinking about how awful and unattractive you are, you’re also likely going to think that your partner sees you the same way. And that will absolutely have an impact on your sex life. Here is an awesome podcast on The Diary Of A CEO talking to sex education expert Tracey Cox. Give it a listen.

Here’s the hard truth… Being fat isn’t attractive and sends a message about how you live your life. The more unhealthy fat you have, the louder the message you send to others becomes…

Your partner will love you regardless but doesn’t prefer you being fat over fit.
Your colleagues and clients will work with you but don’t prefer you being fat over fit.
Your loved ones will cherish their time with you but don’t prefer you being fat over fit.

Do you know who does prefer you to be fat? Big pharma, Mcdonald’s, and other companies benefit from providing nutrient-absent “food”.

Being overweight leads to heart disease, strokes, type 2 diabetes, and certain types of cancer. Those sicknesses are among the leading causes of PREVENTABLE, PREMATURE death. In addition, the estimated annual medical cost of obesity in the US is $175B!!

That means more people are dying sooner than needed, and more of your family’s hard-earned money is being spent on medical bills directly related to being overweight before you die…

So why is it that 3/4 of the US population is overweight? Why is it that so many bedrooms lack intimacy due to body image? Why is it that so many families send money out the door for obesity-related medical expenses?

It’s not a lack of knowledge or access to information problem. In an instant, there are unlimited free resources anyone can access.

For the vast majority, it’s a discipline problem.

If you would just become disciplined and stop making excuses, so many of your struggles would be resolved. The key to success can simply be boiled down to Consistency + Time + Discipline = Results. If you’re consistent in doing the work for the time it takes to cross the finish line, without excuses, you’ll find the success and results that matter most to you.

And yes, I understand that nutrient-rich foods cost more than artificial and GMO foods, and that can be a challenge for some. That is a different topic, and if that’s not your circumstance, then don’t use that as an excuse or topic of discussion for your own body fat percentage.

Look, if you’re in the overweight and certainly the obese categories, do yourself, your loved ones, and those who count on you a BIG favor and get lean, fit, and healthy! You’ll live longer, be happier, and accomplish more.

Much love,

Matt
